Free parenting support information workshop for migrants

Auckland Regional Migrant Services Charitable Trust (ARMS) has partnered with national domestic abuse charity, Shine to deliver a free workshop for new migrant parents on the services and support available to them, on Wednesday 29 July.

The aim of the workshop is to equip new migrant parents with information on assistance available to them to raise happy and healthy children in Auckland as well as to give them crucial information on laws safeguarding children and young people, and health services for their family.

ARMS and Shine are working with a host of service providers including the Auckland District Health Board, Ministry of Education, Affinity, NZ Police, Plunket and Child, Youth and Family, who will deliver key information on parental laws and support. The talks will be followed by a service provider fair where attendees can ask agencies questions one-on-one and receive more information.

The workshop will be delivered in English held at ARMS Regional Offices, Three Kings Plaza, 532 Mt Albert Road from 9.30am to 3pm. It is open to all migrant parents.

For more information or to register for the workshop please contact ARMS on 09 625 2440 or email reception@arms-mrc.org.nz. Registration is essential as space is limited.
