Know your Stateship!

Know your Stateship!

“Anyone who says, he is not interested in politics is like a drowning man who insists he is not interested in water”- Mahatma Gandhi

Whether you are from India or New Zealand or any other part of the world, a basic knowledge about the politics and politicians of the country you are living in, is a must. After all they are the ones who are taking important decisions for the whole country.

If you have interest in politics, great; if not, it’s never too late!

National government after winning the third term and New Zealanders’ heartsis back to work now after all ministers have been assigned their respective ministries. We have already covered about how three Kiwi-Indian MPs-Kanwaljit Singh Bakshi, Mahesh Bindra and Dr.ParmjeetParmar, are providing more representation to the community in NZ Parliament. To widen your knowledge about the country’s politics we have decided to come up with this week’s special feature on the newly-appointed Cabinet of ministers.

This week we bring you who’s doing what in the current government, who’s handling which ministry, what are the responsibilities of the three Kiwi-Indian MPs, what are expectations of our community from the government this time and more.
