Paramjit Dhatt, the owner-operator of SuperValue Flatbush supermarket has been conferred an award for the top SuperValue supermarket in the country by Progressive Enterprises at the two-day annual expo and conference at the Christchurch Town Hall Convention Centre on June 30 and July1.
The award was presented at the prize giving dinner on the occasion.
“We are very proud and this has given us the motivation to work harder,” Mr Dhatt said.
He said these were tough economic times and that his enterprise was geared to do everything it could do to help the community.
“Customers are buying from supermarkets and preparing meals at home instead of dining outside – they are also spending more on basics and buying more Home Brands,” he said.
In response to this situation he said, “We are arranging more and more Home Brand products and regular specials with the best customer service we can give to our customers.”
SuperValue Flatbush has also received the top award for outstanding sales of the Coca Cola product range through its store.
