New Gujarati play to be staged

MIGHT-I Theatre’s premier Gujarati production “Mara Varno Varghodo” (My Husband’s marriage procession) will be staged on 16th and 17th July at the Avondale Theatre in Auckland. A hilarious comedy about a suspecting wife and a doting husband will keep you rolling in your seats in the first ever Gujarati production in Auckland.
Brought to you with the support of Yogiji’s Foodmart and Panworld Travels (Mangere) this Gujarati play revolves around the saying, "True love endures all tests of time". Each one of you will be able to connect with the play as the story is familiar in most household and maybe you will fancy yourself as Dimple or Ashish.
Dimple and Ashish are happily married, though Dimple suspects Ashish of having an affair with his secretary Roma. Dimple's life is turned upside down when her old admirer Dr Jigesh turns up. Dimple is caught between her past and future and wants to secure the future of her husband and child. She, therefore, decides to get Ashish married to Roma. How will Ashish react to Dimple's idea? Will Roma be ready to accept this proposal? Will Ashish and Roma marry? This Gujarati play is with a touch of Bollywood spice and hilarious consequences. A total family entertainer that promises to keep you thoroughly entertained.
The show features talented artists – Jayesh Bateriwala, KKuntal Trivedi, Jyotsna Trivedi, Chirag Solanki, Sachin Purohit, Monitosh Thakar, Prashant Belwalkar and featuring “Rupal Solanki” as Dimple. Introducing Vicki Randeri as Roma and Keyusha as Sudhaben. The Play is directed by Prashant Belwalkar.
