NZ's Finzsoft signs deal with HCL

New Delhi: Auckland based proprietary finance and banking applications development company Finzsoft Solutions signed a partnership agreement with HCL Technomogies of India in New Delhi on Monday.
HCL Technologies is a leading global IT services provider and has had a working relationship with Finzsoft over the past few years. The agreement promises to deliver new high value technology solutions to the region’s banking and finance sector.
Prime Minister John Key and Trade Minister Tim Groser witnessed the signing between of the deal in the course of Mr Key's state visit to India.
“Both companies already have a strong banking customer base within the APAC region and the goal is to continue capitalising on this market share as well as expand our collective businesses in both developed and developing markets” Rajiv Sodhi, Senior Corporate Vice President and Chief Customer Officer, HCL Technologies, said at a media conference.
“The partnership combines the best elements from HCL and Finzsoft to offer a proactive, innovative and solution based transformational offering that is proven, secure, and scalable,” Andrew Holliday Director, Finzsoft Solutions said.
“Finzsoft will lead these core and vertical solutions with HCL providing systems integration, business process outsourcing and transformational services,” Mr Holliday said.
As part of this financial services partnership HCL will deliver the banking solution which includes full lifecycle, core and vertical banking and financial product solutions backed by world class systems integration and transformational services.
Speaking to Indian Weekender, Mr Holliday said the strategic partnership would throw open big opportunities for both companies. Mr Sodhi would not elaborate on details of how the company would scale up its work force to meet the potential opportunities.
But both Mr Holliday and Mr Sodhi said that the partnership would bring their companies in direct competition with Indian software biggies like Infosys, TCS and a number of others as regards providing software applications for the finance and banking industries.
They said the partnership would evolve the best possible technologies, platforms and security systems for their applications to suit a range of customers in the finance and banking sectors. Plans to develop applications for mobile banking would also be thrown into the mix of product development activities that the partnership will get into, Mr Holliday said.
Prime Minister John Key congratulated the two partners and said this signalled the start of technological partnerships between New Zealand and India
