Your chance to ask the senior questions

Age Concern Counties Manukau will be holding two community seminars for Senior Citizens next month.

If you have been shy in the past to ask the “hard” questions, this is your chance.

Where? At the Mangere Community House, 141 Robertson Rd, Mangere. To book: Age Concern office on 279 4331 ext 800. What else? Bookings essential (for catering purposes). Morning tea provided.
Cost: Free (but donations towards costs always gratefully received).

The courses:
* Senior Services (previously known as WINZ superannuation)
Date: Tuesday July 12th, 2011, Time: 10am-12noon; Speaker: Sandra Neilson (Case Manager from Senior Services). Content: What are you entitled to? How do I maximise my entitlements? How and where do I access Senior Services?

Plenty of time to get answers to the questions you may have wanted to ask but perhaps been too shy to in the past.

* Cellphone foe Seniors
Dates: Thursdays 21st & 28th July 2011; Time: 10am-12noon.

Content: Get one on one tutoring and explore how to use your cell phone, from the basics, to texting to using the camera – if your phone has this feature.

Learn at your own pace and find out as much or as little as YOU want. Please bring your cell phone (charged) and reading glasses.
