Community welcomes New Year in style

Shed 16 on Jesmond Road Drury (the indoor and out door cafe exclusively used by Angithi Caterers for production and parties) sprang to life in the first weekend of January where the Bedi family of Papatoetoe in association with Angithi Caterers organised a community gathering of about 40 members from diverse communities.
The simple objective was to welcome the year 2011. Nimi, Raj and Dasham Bedi heartily welcomed all. The guests included Azim Riaz from Radio Tarana, Andrew, the owner of Shed 16, Helen from Howick & Pakuranga Times, Gary Troup (Director CCO Regional Facilities), Ajit Singh Randhawa of Punjabi Cultural Association and Prithipal Singh Basra of Auckland Sikh Society.
Sunita and Yash of Milan weddings and the Joginder Singh family who are currently on a visit to New Zealand also attended the function. Everyone participated in the Bingo game, a dance in the garden and of course eating the classic Indian dishes.
Vicky and Sonia Grover, the beautiful hardworking couple of Angithi fame, conveyed thanks to all the guests for showering praise on the recipes used by them specially the lamb Rogan josh and lamb Kabab.
