Shop ram-raided twice in 24 hours

There have been two more ram raids in Auckland overnight, with one shop targeted for the second time in 24 hours.

The police were called to a burglary at a liquor store on Dominion Road at 4.30am, where a vehicle had smashed into the front window.

It's the second night in a row the shop was damaged, police said.

Items were taken and three people left in a second vehicle. They have not been located.

Earlier in the morning, there was an unsuccessful attempt to smash through the entrance to a store in Newmarket.

Police continue to investigate.
