Get set for some fun, food, and frolic

Since community events are slowly and steadily getting back on track, the Museum of Transport and Technology (MOTAT) is organising a three-day event for Auckland's food and music enthusiasts. Titled Food Truck Round-Up, the event will take place from May 5 to May 7 at MOTAT, 805 Great North Road, Western Springs, every night from 6 pm – 9 pm.

The free for all event is co-organised by The Food Truck Collective, an organisation dedicated to the support and well-being of Auckland's most promising street food businesses. There will be a variety of international food trucks serving delicious treats, be it sweet, savoury, meat loaded, vegan, gluten-free, and everything in between. Every night will have a different lineup of vendors to choose from.

Apart from that, live music performances by artists such as Gene Rivers, Sounds of Europe, Lauren Collins and Damian Hauwai are planned. Interestingly, each artist will be performing in a separate zone so that one can enjoy several musicians in one night.

Four of MOTAT’s exhibitions will be open to exploring.

Seemingly excited about the event, MOTAT’s event lead, Cheryl Masters, says, “It’s a great opportunity for MOTAT to open the doors for the community around food and music. There are three nights of delicious multicultural street food from across Tamaki Makaurau, with live music in the open air. It’s the perfect way to welcome back larger events at MOTAT.”
