High Commission of India requests Indian Nationals and Indian Students to get registered at Global Pravasi Rishta portal

The Government of India has launched the “Global Pravasi Rishta Portal”( https://pravasirishta.gov.in/) as a dynamic portal to establish an effective communication channel to connect with the Indian diaspora worldwide. It will work as a three-way communication between the Ministry of External Affairs (New Delhi), Indian Missions including High Commission of India, Wellington and the Diaspora.
The portal has been created to enable the registration of Indian diaspora members i.e. NRIs and the OCIs, which is going to facilitate the Government of India to connect with the overseas Indian community through Indian Missions. For all the members of Indian diaspora living in New Zealand, Samoa, Niue, Vanuatu & Cook Islands, the portal is going to facilitate members of the Indian community to connect with High Commission and to various existing and new government schemes benefiting them in various areas of interest.
The Portal is is embedded with Mission’s function areas related to Consular, Community Affairs, Education, Events, and Feedback. After registering with the Portal, a user can submit queries pertaining to these areas and will also have access to information about various events organized by the Mission for greater participation.
This will also help to deal with emergency situations as it will provide High Commission of India, Wellington with the database of all the members of Indian diaspora living in New Zealand, Samoa, Niue, Vanuatu & Cook Islands in order to communicate necessary advisories in a coordinated manner.
The High Commission of India, Wellington is is requesting all Indian nationals, PIO and OCI holders including students to register themselves on this portal
