Maha Shanti Yagna a success

After a successful Maha Shanti Yagna held in Kumeu recently, the Sri Sri Radha Giridhari Temple is now gearing up for its next event.
The temple had organised a Maha Shanti Yagna on January 2, to usher in the New Year and pray for the peace and prosperity for all.
A lot of devotees under the direction of H.G. Achal Krishna Das provided their services from December 31 onwards to help with the preparation of the sweets, setting up the marquee and arranging the articles for the yagna.
All devotees participating in the yagna were welcomed by washing their feet and applying tilak on their forehead.
They were then led to their respective havan kund. The programme started with a grand outdoor abhishek of Lord Nrisimhadev followed by Purusha Sukta homam and Sri Sukta homam.
The Yagna concluded with Sudarshan Nrisimha Homam and a grand Nrisimha Aarati. All the participants were given special mahaprasad sweets. All the devotees assembled in the temple were given yagna mahaprasad fruits.
After taking the darshan of Sri Sri Radha Giridhari, all the devotees proceeded to the prasadam hall for the Sunday feast.
About 400 devotees participated in the Yagna and about 1000 attended the Sunday afternoon feast programme.
The next festival is Nityananda Trayodashi (the appearance of Lord Nityananda - the incarnation of Lord Balarama in Kali Yuga) on February 16.
If anyone wishes to conduct a Srimad Bhagavatam programme or a Yagna at home please contact Achal Krishna Das on 021 119 7726.
The Mangal Aarati (the first aarati of the day) starts at 4.30am every day. Please attend this on a weekend, if possible, and feel the blissful experience.
