There are 10,205 new community cases, 734 people in hospital (25 in ICU) and nine new deaths to report as per the Ministry of Health. There are also 33f new cases identified at the border.
Today's post-Cabinet media conference is expected to include Cabinet's decision on which, if any, regions can move to the orange setting of the Covid-19 Protection Framework.
At 11.59pm, the requirement for the use of vaccine passes on some venues and businesses will lift.
Yesterday there were 8810 new community cases of Covid-19 including 690 in hospital and 26 in ICU. Yesterday was also the first time New Zealand's daily case total dipped below 10,000 since February 24, when 6137 cases were reported. There were also 18 deaths reported yesterday which includes people who have died over the past five days bringing the total number of Covid-linked deaths to 396. 31 cases were also identified at the border yesterday.
