The Ministry of Health today reported 18,514 new community cases, 939 people in hospital and 10 Covid related deaths.
It brings the total number of publicly reported Covid-related deaths in New Zealand to 166.
This takes the death toll of publicly reported Covid related deaths to 166, and the 7-day rolling average of reported deaths to 8, the Ministry of Health said.
The seven-day rolling average of new cases is 17,641, down slightly from 17,673 yesterday.
There were 14,128 new community COVID cases recorded on Friday.
