Maha Shanti Yagna this weekend

Members of the public are invited to take part in the Maha Shanti Yagna 2011 in West Auckland this New Year’s weekend.

Organised by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, the Maha Yagna wil be held at the Sri Sri Radha Giridhari Temple in Kumeu on January 2.

The Maha Shanti Yagna is a fire sacrifice ceremony for protection and security, say the organisers.

The day’s programme starts at 10am followed by the Narsimha Deva Abhishek by Brahmanas at 10.30am. The Yagna at 11am will be followed by the Maha Feast at 1pm.

Members of the public and organisations are also invited to sponsor Yagna events.

The following Yagnas will be performer: the Purusha Shakti Homan (for progeny, success in endeavour, final deliverance and blessings from the Lord); Sri Suktam Homan (a powerful human for ushering in prosperity and wealth); and the Sudarshan Narsimha Homan (for protection of entire family from calamities).
