The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for interrogation in connection with the 2016 global tax leaks case known as the 'Panama Papers,' according to authorities.
Aishwarya Bachchan, the superstar Amitabh Bachchan's daughter-in-law, has been summoned to appear before the agency in Delhi.
Since the worldwide leaks became public in 2016, the ED has been investigating the situation. It then sent notifications to the Bachchan family, requesting that they explain their overseas payments since 2004 under the RBI's Liberalized Remittance Scheme (LRS).
