Blood donation drive gets good response

The Shri Shirdi Sai Baba Sansthan, NZ, organised a blood donation camp on November 24 at the New Zealand Blood Service (NZBLOOD), Epsom.

Established on June 4, 2002, the Sansthan runs its blood donation service twice a year. They have successfully run this camp for 8 years, the first was held in November 2002.

“On an average 60-70 units of blood are donated at the end of every camp. Anyone who wishes to donate blood can do so in a systematic and regular manner through these camps,” says Hari Gangisetty, President of the Sansthan.

The Sansthan appeals more people to join them in this noble cause. Following Sai Baba’s principles of ‘seva’, they have successfully accomplished many other community services.Last month they rendered a tree plantation programme near the Unitech Institute in which around a 1000 saplings were planted.

The Sansthan has also helped The Red Cross with donations during the Tsunami, Haiti and Christchurch crisis.

Their mission is to increase its community services once the Sai Baba temple is built. Immigration and international student issues, medical help and organizing various study, art and lifestyle classes are their priorities.

The Sansthan has always delivered a strong and consistent performance to the community and will continue doing so.
