Three west Auckland schools go into lockdown

Police are to begin releasing students from three west Auckland schools locked down after police received a report of concern about a person's wellbeing in the Kelston area.
Police said they received the report at just after 2pm this afternoon and officers were trying to track down the person.
As a precaution, Kelston Boys' High School, Kelston Girls' High School and St Leonards Road School were placed into lockdown.
Police said that with the end of the school day, they were working with schools to allow students to leave.
In a post on Facebook, St Leonards Road School said all students were safe and accounted for.
Parents were asked not to come to the school or phone.
