Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield confirmed four further deaths in New Zealand, three of them related to Rosewood Rest Home & Hospital in Christchurch and one in Wellington. This brings total death count related to Covid-19 to 9 in New Zealand. This also brings a total of 6 deaths from Rosewood Rest Home and Hospital.
The three individuals are Rosewood residents, a man in his 90s, another man in his 80s, another in 90s and the Wellingtonian in his 70s.
Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield confirmed 17 new cases on Tuesday, April 14, that includes 8 confirmed and 8 probable cases. This brings total infected in New Zealand to 1366.
328 have recovered, 82 from yesterday. 15 patients are in hospital, including three in ICU.
There were 1572 tests conducted on Easter Monday, April 13, and a relatively lower figure in tests since the lockdown and the total count of tests done in New Zealand stands now at 64399.
