Naval Commander turned stand-up comedian Manish Tyagi promises to bring laughter riot in Auckland

Former naval commander and stand-up comedian Manish Tyagi is all set to perform once again in Auckland on Saturday, July 27 at St Cuthbert College.
Speaking to the Indian Weekender Manish, who is also known by the nick name of Knotty Commander in comedy circuit of India said, “I am looking forward to this tour and promise to entertain my Kiwi-fans.”
Manish has retired from the Indian Navy after serving for 23 years, taking up a not-so-conventional profession and making his marks in the industry, thereby, becoming one of the most sought after stand-up comedians in India.
His performances in the last few years have made the ‘salt and peppered’ man, industry’s new favourite when it comes to stand-up comedy.
Manish’s Facebook page and YouTube Channel has over 130,000 followers with multiple videos crossing over two million organic views. His jokes have also been aired at Radio City 91.1 FM and Radio One 94.3 FM in the past. His video “Le Kaun Raha Hai Be” is already touched 2.2 million views on YouTube.
His popularity has fetched him shows in New Delhi, and he has performed solo at multiple locations across India such as Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Ranchi, Chandigarh, Lucknow, etc.
Till date, he has done over 50 solo shows, hosted over a 100 shows and many open mics. He is also a regular at Canvas Laugh Club at Mumbai, Gurgaon & Noida and also at the Taj properties across India.
He was an integral part of a very successful Australia-New Zealand Comedy Festival held in Auckland, and Sydney in March 2018.
Manish has spoken as TEDx conclaves, Josh Talks and is also regular with corporate jigs. He has performed for IamSMEofIndia, Madhyaam, Tata Sky, Tanishq, Tata Motors, VLCC, DSV India, McKinsey India, Cummins, various conferences, etc.
