Former Phoenix striker Roy Krishna wins Player of the Year

Footballer Roy Krishna has won the Johnny Warren Medal for his outstanding A-League season and took three prizes at Wellington Clubs’ end-of-season awards earlier this week.
The Phoenix Striker has received the Player of the Year, Players’ Player of the Year and the club’s ‘Golden Boot’ award for scoring 18 goals this season.
Krishna was also recognized for scoring his career’s first hat-trick against Melbourne City. The 31-year-old was instrumental in leading the Phoenix to the playoffs for the first time since 2014.
Krishna said media he is very close to making an announcement what is next for him but also confirmed that he hadn’t signed a new deal with any clubs yet.
