Pratima Nand QSM, JP and a New Zealander and an indigenous Fijian has being honoured with a Kiwibank Local Hero’s Medal for the Auckland Region.
Alton Shameem, JP, and the Founder and President of Fiji Club of New Zealand (FCNZ) said, “Our warmest congratulations to her and her family. We are all humbled and stoked by Pratima’s award and the dedication of Fiji Club of New Zealand (FCNZ) members, supporters and fans in helping and being ambitious for our fellow New Zealanders, Fijians and all communities both nationally and internationally.”
The Kiwibank Local Hero’s Medal is bestowed on those individuals who have made significant contributions to fellow New Zealanders who need assistance the most.
“Pratima Nand is a multi-talented person, a Justice of the Peace, marriage and civil union celebrant, radio broadcaster, author, community worker, child sponsor, health worker, singer, TV producer & presenter, philanthropist, interpreter, translator, chef and a valuable and dedicated member of Fiji Club of New Zealand (FCNZ)” Mr Shameem said.
