Minimum income changes for some visa holders

Immigration New Zealand has increased the minimum income threshold for people holding Essential Skills and Religious Worker work visas.

In a press release shared on INZ website, it is notified people holding Essential Skills and Religious Worker work visas must earn at least NZ$43,322.76 a year if they have dependent children in New Zealand their children's visas are dependent on their parent's work visa.

This is an increase from the current minimum of NZ$42,944.20.

This minimum income threshold is not the same as the skill-band remuneration rates for Essential Skills work visas.
