Renowned Gujarati writer, columnist and motivational speaker Jay Vasavada is coming to Auckland to attend and speak at the ‘Jawani Zindabad’ event at Mahatma Gandhi Centre on Friday, November 10.
The event is being held on the occasion of Gujarati Samaj NZ Inc’s five years of service to the community in New Zealand.
Jay Vasavada has delivered his lectures across Gujarat in India and has been vocal on several subjects concerning the community such as women empowerment, arts and culture, cinema, environment, education, philosophy, etc. He is a regular columnist for Gujarat Samachar, the daily newspaper in Gujarat with the readership of 7 million. His most notable columns include ‘Spectrometer’ and ‘Anavrut’ that covers several aspects of the concerns of society.
Mr Vasavada has been invited for lectures in Italy, Dubai, USA, UK, Thailand, Israel, Germany, Belgium, and Switzerland and now in New Zealand.
Mr Vasavada also hosted 225 episodes of the celebrity talk show called ‘Samvaad’ on ETV Gujarat. He has more than 40,000 followers on Facebook, and on Independence Day 2010, he was honoured by the government of Gujarat for his contribution in the field of writing.
He has 11,000 books, 15,000 magazines, 7,000 cassettes, CDs and DVDs in his personal library. His books on motivation ‘Jay Ho’ and ‘JSK’ (Jay Shree Krishna) set a record of 10,000 copies sold in just one year.
He has been an orator in over 1600 public speeches including the prestigious ones such as ‘Asmita Parv’ of Hon. Morari Bapu and the book launching of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He was among G8 (Top future leaders) of Gujarat in Times group’s Lead India contest and also won the first round of Sahara TV’s national quiz show ‘Bollywood ka Boss’ hosted by Boman Irani.
The great writer will share his knowledge at the Jawani Zindabad event organised by Gujarati Samaj of New Zealand.
