Bally Sagoo's musical treat for the New Year

Aucklanders were in for a treat this New Year’s Eve as popular British-Indian producer Bally Sagoo performed in the city and left everyone asking for more. Bally, who is known for his hit remixes such as Noorie and evergreen Gur Nalo Ishq Mitha played at the Bollywood Night organised by Bombay Talkies at Tom Bar & Eatery amidst a packed house.

Bally, who has been to Auckland few times before, performed on the New Year’s in the city for the first time. Talking about the same, the 52-year-old says, “Whenever I have visited New Zealand, the audience has been amazing and I am always excited to be here. The crowd here loves my work and I love them”

As it was a Bollywood night, Bally, who started performing as New Zealand ushered into 2017, made the crowd groove to popular Bollywood and Punjabi songs such as Kala Chashma, Chittiyan Kalayian, Laila Main Laila and DJ Wale Babu among others.

The king of remixes, Bally truly conquered one and all with his songs that left the crowd craving for more. He was seen enjoying himself at the console and even danced with few guests. 

Moving on, on being asked about what’s keeping him busy at the moment, Bally revealed that he is working on his next album.

“2017 is going to be a great year for me. I am very excited as the year will see the release of my next album. It is too early to reveal details about the same. I have been busy shuttling between UK and Mumbai for the same. I am also planning to produce an international film which will have the right mix of music and storyline,” says Bally, who is known for chartbusters like Dil Cheez Hai Kya Janam, Chura Liya, and Tum Bin Jiya among others.

Giving his views on how the music scene has changed over the years, the 90's sensation, Bally says, “The music is much advanced now. There is a lot of advancements happening which is so amazing. Also, there is so much crossover of talent happening which is great. Moreover, newer talent like Badshah and Neha Kakkar are breaking the boundary which makes me glad.”
