It’s on. A grand trip down memory lane is in the making.
A group of friends who were at school in Fiji more than 30 years ago are planning a grand reunion.
And if you were one of those who attended St Mary’s Primary School, All Saints Secondary, or Labasa College in the 70s and 80s, you could be one of several being sought by reunion organizers.
Headed by Pradeep Sewak (Gold Coast), Dashi Gahunia (Melbourne) and Arvind Kumar (Auckland, New Zealand), the call is going out to those who attended St Mary’s in the early 70s and later All Saints in the 80s.
“It’s about time we got together,” Dashi told Indian Weekender recently.
“We’re not getting any younger and this may be the only opportunity to see all again.”
So far, some classmates had already been contacted, and had shown a keen interest in a reunion, said Dashi.
These included Pradeep Sewak, Dashi, Arvind, Peter Narayan, Shalen Jaduram, Veena Achary, Raveen Jaduram, and Anita Khatri (nee Treekam).
Still sought are: Naren Dayabhai, Nirmal Singh, Charan Jeet Singh, Daljit Singh, Anjana Kottaiya, Ram Krishna, Arieta Leba, Nita Narayan, Walesi, Aseri, Pradeep RN, Dan Taniela, Viliame Sarusaru, Selai, Agnes Sahayam, Abel, Balnagamma, Anita Deo, Salma Bano, Halima Khatoon, Abdul Hamid, Birend Prasad, Ram Chandar, Pranil Vishwa, Attar Singh, Udit Singh, Asha Balia, Michael Prasad and many more we may have missed.
Note that many of the girls’ names mentioned are pre-marriage.
