Table No 21 at Tappoos

Another Bollywood film production decided to use TappooCity in Suva for the shooting of their upcoming film.
The movie, ‘Table No. 21’, which stars famous Bollywood comedian, Paresh Rawal, along with upcoming actors Rajeev Khandelwal and Tina Desai, was shot in TappoCity’s level 6 last Sunday and Monday.
The floor, still not fully occupied, was just fitting for the thriller movie’s night scene.
Executive director of TappooCity, Remal Tappoo, said they were delighted the director and producer of the film chose TappooCity as one of their locations to shoot their movie.
“We would like to show to the world that TappooCity is not only a shopping experience but it is an unparalleled sensory experience and a pride of the Pacific and to the people of Fiji,” he said.
Mr Tappoo said showcasing building such as TappooCity to the world through the medium of a Bollywood movie would bode well for Fiji’s tourism industry as well.
Almost a month ago, another Bollywood film, ‘3G’, produced under the same banner of Next Gen Films (Fiji), used TappooCity for the shooting of the film.
With a number of films already scheduled to be shot in Fiji for the entire year, this might just be the tip of the ice berg for TappooCity as our film industry seems to have an even brighter future ahead.
Meanwhile, Mr Rawal is expected to leave for India this Saturday.
