Karaoke Guinness record set in Mumbai

The Viraag’s Artist Club has set a new record for karaoke marathon by multiple artists at Palm Beach Galleria Mall in Vashi.

Gunniess World Records’ London based adjudicator Adam Wide visited the venue to confirm the world’s longest karaoke.

The singers have broken the Chinese record of 456 hours, two minutes and five seconds, by setting a record of around 579 hours. Over 200 participants have been singing at the mall since July 24.

Viraag Wankhede, founder of the club said “It is a great feeling. A lot of hard work has gone into it .”

“Apart from setting the record, our aim is to promote national integration through music,” he added
Guinness’s Wide said that India held quite a few records and one of them was connected to the freedom struggle.
