Former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has been appointed as the new Governor of Kerala, media reports said.
"Former Chief Minister of Delhi and senior Congress leader Sheila Diskhit was today appointed as new Governor of Kerala after Nikhil Kumar resigned from the post," ABP News reported.
Dikshit has served as the Chief Minister of Delhi from 1998 to 2013.
In the Delhi Assembly polls last year, the Congress leader lost to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal.
