India win Tri-Nations series by 1 wicket

Port of Spain, July 11: In a nerve crunching encounter, skipper MS Dhoni hammered two sixes and a boundary in the last over of the match that helped India beat Sri Lanka by one wicket in the Tri-Nations series final at Queen's Park Oval here on Thursday.
Indian skipper, who returned to the side after being laid low by a hamstring injury, remained not out at 45. He hit five boundaries and two sixes in his knock.
Chasing, Sri Lanka's 201 all out, India reached 203 runs by losing nine wickets in 49.4 overs.
A gutsy 58 runs by Rohit Sharma also helped India in the run chase.
Opener Shikhar Dhawan (16) and Virat Kohli (2) failed to deliver with their willows as Indian struggled at 27 for 2 in 11 overs.
India lost the wickets of Dinesh Karthik (23) and Suresh Raina (32) at crucial junctures of the match.
Rangana Herath picked up four wickets for Sri Lanka.
Earlier, Sri Lanka were bowled out for 201 runs in 48.5 overs.
Kumar Sangakkara top scored for Sri Lanka with his 71 runs off 100 balls where he hit six boundaries and six.
Lahiru Thirimanne scored 46 runs. He smashed four boundaries sin his innings.
Ravindra Jadeja picked up four wickets for India while
R Ashwin, Ishant Sharma and Bhuvneshwar Kumar took two wickets each.
