Punjabi singer and Congress leader Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead in a firing incident at Jawaharke in Mansa district on Sunday.
Two other people were hurt in the event, according to reports, in which more than 30 shots were fired. In a serious condition, Moosewala was transported to the public hospital in Mansa, where he was pronounced dead.
The event occurred a day after the Punjab Police ordered his security, as well as the security of more than 420 people, including former MLAs, Jathedars of two Takhts, Deras' leaders, and police personnel, to be withdrawn.
