Satyam fraud accused Raju gets bail

Hyderabad: Multi-crore Satyam fraud chief accused Ramalinga Raju was on Wednesday granted bail by the Andhra Pradesh High Court.
The former Satyam Computers chief, Raju was arrested after he had admitted to Rs 7,800 crore accounting fraud in the company he had founded.
However, the Central Bureau of Investigation, which is probing the case, claim the fraud is over Rs 14,000 crore.
Raju was currently undergoing treatment for Hepatitis C at the government-run Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) here, under judicial custody.
With Raju’s bail, all the ten accused in the fraud are now out of jail.
The Satyam fraud, the biggest in the country’s IT sector, had first emerged in January 2009.
Apart from Ramalinga Raju, other accused are his two brothers Rama Raju and B Suryanarayana Raju, former Satyam employees Vadlamani Srinivas, G Ramakrishna, Venkatapathi Raju and Ch Srisailam, PwC India auditors Talluri Srinivas and S Gopalkrishnan, and former internal auditor Prabhakara Gupta.
