Washington: US President Barack Obama has said that he would visit India in December.
Reports quoting a senior official said that Obama will probably be visiting India during November 7-10.
At a reception hosted by US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in honour of Indian External Affairs Minister SM Krishna, Obama reportedly said, "During his State Visit, the Prime Minister (of India, Mam\nmohan Singh) graciously invited me and my family to visit India this year, and I happily accepted."
"I plan to visit India in early November," he added.
Reports said the first lady, Michelle Obama, would also accompany the president during his visit.
Speaking just before the US President, Krishna said India looks forward to welcome the Obama family later this year.
