Second Teenage Boy Reported Missing From South Auckland's Papakura

A teenage boy has been reported missing from the South Auckland suburb of Papakura - the second teen from the suburb to go missing on the same day.

William, 17, was last seen by his family on 19 February at his Papakura home.

Police said on Friday they were seeking the public's assistance to locate the boy, who was described as about 170cm tall with a medium build.

He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, black Nike shorts and bare feet.

"William is known to frequent the Counties Manukau area," police said in a statement.

"Police are requesting anyone who sights him to contact police as soon as possible on 111."

Anyone with any further information on his whereabouts should contact police on 105, quoting file number 240224/6931, the statement said.

Information can also be provided anonymously via Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.

Earlier on Friday, police made a public appeal for sightings of 15-year-old Nohokotahi, also known as Bob, who also went missing from Papakura on 19 February.

Police have been asked if the cases are believed to be linked, or if the boys knew each other.
