India eyes historic Boxing Glory with 10 semi-finalists at CWG 2026

India's boxing contingent will look to continue its remarkable run at the Commonwealth Games 2026 as 10 Indian pugilists step into the ring for their respective semi-final bouts on Friday.

According to NDTV, every one of the 10 boxers has already secured at least a bronze medal and now stands just one victory away from reaching the gold medal match.

As reported by NDTV, India's boxers have already guaranteed 10 medals, making this the nation's most successful boxing campaign in Commonwealth Games history.

The achievement surpasses the previous best of nine medals, which India won at the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games.

The Indian contingent will be represented across both the men's and women's categories, with several established names and rising stars aiming to extend their medal-winning campaign. According to NDTV, each boxer will compete in the semi-finals with a place in the final at stake.

In the women's events, Sakshi Chaudhary will compete in the 51kg category, while Preeti Pawar will represent India in the 54kg division.

Jaismine Lamboria will fight in the women's 57kg category, Priya Ghanghas will contest the 60kg division, Arundhati Choudhary will feature in the 70kg category, and Olympic medallist Lovlina Borgohain will compete in the women's 75kg event.

On the men's side, Jadumani Singh Mandengbam will fight in the 55kg category, Sachin Siwach will compete in the 60kg division, Ankush Panghal will take part in the 80kg category, and Narender Berwal will represent India in the men's 90kg event.

According to NDTV, all four boxers will be aiming to book their places in the championship bouts with victories in their respective semi-finals.
