Humm FM and Bhartiya Samaj host the biggest Holi in NZ

Colours, food, music and dance sum up the biggest Holi celebration in the country hosted at Three Kings Reserve last weekend.
Humm FM 106.2 and Bhartiya Samaj Charitable Trust pulled a perfect weekend for the families in Auckland with the ‘Colours in the Park 2018’ Holi celebration on Saturday, March 3. More than 6,000 people were estimated to have visited the much anticipated musical-fun event that started at noon until 7 p.m.
The event, besides being the most popular show in town, offered more than one highlight to the audience. Food being the major crowd pleaser, the event had 24 stalls camped on the ground, a majority of which offered a range of amazing lip-smacking snacks from the many cuisines of India.
Another big high point of the show was the medley dance performance by the Humm FM team on the stage. DJs and RJs of Humm FM wooed the audience with their dance performance, adding another feather to the party.
This year the High Commission of India to New Zealand Sanjiv Kohli graced the event accompanied by accompanied by Head of Chancellery, High Commission of India, Sandeep Sood and Hon. Consul of India, Bhav Dhillon.
The guests from Wellington accompanied Humm FM’s director Roshila Prasad, Jeet Suchdev and Roopa Suchdev from Bhartiya Samaj Charitable Trust and other dignitaries such as MPs Michael Wood, Priyanca Radhakrishnan, Kanwaljit Bakshi, Parmjeet Parmar, former MP Mahesh Bindra, Deputy Chair of the Local Board Julie Fairey and other community leaders on the stage wishing the audience the best of Holi.
Mr Kohli acknowledged the presence of the communities who came together to celebrate the festival of colour and joy.
The event was led by the RJs of Humm FM and music provided by renowned DJs from Auckland- DJ Shovic, Jash, Resident, Gezville, Razz, and Areeb who pulled the party till 7 p.m.
