Woman allegedly absconded from South East Auckland

A woman who allegedly absconded from her South East Auckland home last night
while being escorted by MIQ security has handed herself into Police.
She is no longer being taken to an MIQ facility and will instead be taken
straight to the Auckland District Custody Unit in Mt Eden to appear in the
Manukau District Court tomorrow via AVL on a charge of failing to comply with
a health order (COVID19).
 
As this matter is now before the Courts, Police are unable to comment
further.
