India's Foreign Minister speaks with NZ counterpart Hon Nanaia Mahuta

India's Foreign Minister Dr S. Jaishankar has spoken with New Zealand Foreign Minister Hon Nanaia Mahuta for the first time.
Jaishankar informed about his first phone call conversation with New Zealand's new Foreign Minister on his Twitter handle on Monday, March 1, reiterating growing bilateral relations between the two countries.
The two Ministers spoke about coordinating Covid-challenges and the mutually shared interest in the Indo-Pacific region.
The Ministers also expressed hope of meeting soon in person.
Notably, New Zealand and India have seen considerable coordination in recent Covid-19 times for facilitating two-way travel of stranded travellers across both countries and also maintaining supply lines open amidst global travel restrictions.
India has also provided supplies of necessary pharmaceuticals during these unprecedented global disruptions.
