MP Kanwaljit Bakshi launches campaign for 2020 elections

National List MP Kanwaljit Bakshi launched his election campaign for the Panmure-Otahuhu constituency earlier last week in the presence of scores of supporters and National Party members.
Kanwaljit Bakshi is the first India-born MP in New Zealand and has served as a list Member of Parliament for the Manukau East electorate since 2008.
The Manukau East electorate has been rechristened as Panmure-Otahuhu constituency, one of 11 constituents who names and boundaries were changed by Representation Commission boundary review 2019/20 announced on May 25 this year.
His campaign launch was well attended by volunteers; the National Party Board Members Andrew Hunt, Alaistair Bell and Stefan Sundae along with fellow candidates Simon O’Connor, Alfred Ngaro Agnes Loheni, Paulo Garcia, Christopher Luxon and Nuwi Samarkone.
