After Auckland's Sky Tower, Eden Park to be lit in green and white on Eid-ul-Fitr

Joining the celebrations this year, Eden Park will too be lit in green and white for the Muslim community on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Earlier on Thursday, SkyCity Auckland announced its landmark Sky Tower to be lit in green and white as a gesture of love towards the Muslim community celebrating the festival of Eid.
New Zealand Eid Day, an organisation hosting country's largest Eid gatherings every year announced on its Facebook page.
"Seen as the historic home of NZ Eid Day, our team is excited to have these prestigious landmarks help bring joy to the Muslim community.
"With the Covid 19 restrictions and the cancelling of our usual event, as organisations, we have to look to different methods to bring the community together.
Therefore, under the circumstances, we are truly appreciative of Eden Park collectively helping us celebrate Eid together as one community - one family; not just Muslim, but all New Zealanders"
"Please join us in taking photos of Eden Park in its lights, share the news and thank Eden park for bringing us this gift," NZ Eid Day posted on Facebook.
Depending on the sighting of the moon thsi weekend, Eid will either be held on Sunday, May 24 or Monday, May 25.
