New Zealand academic centre inaugurated in New Delhi

Deepening education ties between the two countries, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Winston Peters inaugurated the newly announced New Zealand Centre at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi on Wednesday, February 26.
Recently a Memorandum of Understanding was signed to affirm the position of New Zealand Centre to be a focal point of academic activity for all eight New Zealand Universities and IIT Delhi (Read the full story here).
Through the New Zealand Centre, all eight universities of New Zealand will collaborate with IIT Delhi in research in technologies for clean water, cybersecurity and data science, energy and environmental studies, and advanced biological and healthcare systems and engineering.
India is the second-highest source of international students in New Zealand, and numbers of first-time student visas for Indian students to study in NZ universities are growing strongly.
