St Lukes mall under lockdown after armed robbery in jewellery store

Two people armed with axe, hammer and bat have robbed a jewellery store inside St Lukes mall just after 3 p.m. this afternoon sending the shoppers into a frenzy.
It is reported that Michael Hill, a jewellery store on the ground floor of the popular mall was robbed by miscreants who raided the store and took an undisclosed amount worth of jewellery and fled the store.
A witness at the mall told Stuff that she saw a man wielding a red axe at the store attendant inside Micahel Hill.
Another witness is said to have seen three masked men making their way outside the mall, the number of men is yet to be confirmed by police.
The reporter also said that a second store in the mall, Silvermoon Luxe, had also been targeted and had a broken window.
The mall was immediately put on lockdown in the aftermath of the incident until the police was called.
The mall is open for shopping now but there is a heavy presence of police inside the mall and police have cordoned the area of the incident.
Police are questioning the store attendants and witnesses present inside the mall.
