Emergency services are attending a serious two-vehicle crash in Melville, Hamilton, where one person has been seriously injured.
The incident happened on Normandy Avenue, between Cobham Drive and Lorne Street, at about 5:20 pm on Friday. Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene shortly after the crash was reported, Stuff has reported.
Police said traffic management measures are currently in place and motorists have been advised to avoid the area or be prepared for significant delays while responders deal with the situation.
“Investigations into the cause of the collision are ongoing,” authorities said, as quoted by Stuff.
