A person was found dead at a property on Kerr Street in Devonport, Auckland, prompting a late-night response from emergency services.
According to a report by Stuff, authorities were called to the address shortly after 11 pm on Thursday. Police have confirmed that the death is currently being treated as unexplained.
A police spokesperson said a scene guard remained in place and nearby residents could expect to see a police presence as inquiries continue, Stuff has reported.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
