Multiple motorcycles were involved in a crash at the Devil’s Staircase near Queenstown on Tuesday afternoon.
According to a report by Stuff, the incident occurred about 4.05 pm, according to Fire and Emergency NZ (Fenz). A spokesperson said crews were responding to a call-out and that police were on the scene.
Hato Hone St John said one patient in moderate condition was being transported to Lakes District Hospital. Another patient, who was in minor condition, was assessed and treated at the scene, Stuff has quoted.
The Devil’s Staircase is a winding section of State Highway 6 running alongside Lake Wakatipu and is known for its scenic but challenging terrain, as reported by Stuff.
