Four injured in Hamilton three-vehicle crash, one critical
Four people were injured, including one critically, following a three-vehicle crash in Hamilton on Friday afternoon.
1News reported that emergency services responded to a crash on Grey Street near Wellington Street just after 12.05 pm on Friday.
According to Hato Hone St John, three people were transported to Waikato Hospital. One person was in critical condition, another in serious condition, and a third in moderate condition, 1News has reported.
A fourth person was treated at the scene and was also assessed as being in a moderate condition.
Multiple emergency resources responded to the incident, including four ambulances, a rapid response unit and an operations manager, as reported by 1News.
Police said cordons remain in place around the crash site and urged motorists to avoid the area while investigations and recovery work continue.
“Expect significant delays as the road is expected to be closed for some time,” police said, as quoted by 1News.
The circumstances surrounding the crash are under investigation.
