A crash between a truck and trailer and a bus on State Highway One near Albany is expected to cause delays.
The New Zealand Transport Agency said the crash happened northbound shortly after 6am on Tuesday, after the Greville Road off-ramp.
"Avoid the area if possible and expect delays."
A traffic camera at the McClymont Road overbridge shows heavy traffic.
Police said all northbound lanes are currently blocked and traffic is being diverted at the Oteha Valley off-ramp.
"One person has received minor injuries.
"Motorists are advised to expect delays, seek an alternative route of delay travel while the scene is cleared."
