According to a report by the New Zealand Herald, emergency services were called to Haverstock Road in Sandringham at about 3.42 pm following reports of the collision.

Police said they arrived to find a “primary aged child” who had suffered moderate injuries, the New Zealand Herald has reported.

Paramedics from Hato Hone St John treated the child at the scene before transporting them to Auckland City Hospital in a moderate condition, the New Zealand Herald has reported.

Fire and Emergency New Zealand also responded to the incident. A shift manager said two fire appliances attended, confirming that no one was trapped in the crash.
