Air New Zealand has announced the expansion of its non-stop services to Bali, allowing Kiwis to fly directly to the popular Indonesian destination any time of the year.

Previously, direct flights from New Zealand to Bali were limited to the period between March and October. Travellers wishing to visit Bali outside these months had to fly via Australia with Qantas or Jetstar. However, with the new schedule, Air New Zealand will now operate direct flights throughout the entire year.

New call-to-action

The frequency of these flights will vary seasonally, with the highest number of flights per week—ranging from five to seven—occurring between April and the end of October. During the quieter period from mid-February to the end of March, there will be two flights per week.

To celebrate the expansion, Air New Zealand is offering one-way fares starting at $699. This promotion is available from today until midnight on Sunday, June 23.

Leanne Geraghty, Air New Zealand’s Chief Customer and Sales Officer, stated that expanding the Bali services was a logical decision given the high demand from Kiwis. “Bookings to Bali have been strong since we relaunched our seasonal service in March 2023. This year’s seasonal flights have proven even more popular, with thousands of Kiwis booking Bali breaks over the last few months,” she said.

With this expansion, Air New Zealand remains the only airline offering a direct connection between New Zealand and Bali. The airline will provide over 800 seats per week to Bali during the peak summer period from November to February, ensuring that travellers can enjoy a seamless journey without the need for a stopover.

Direct flights to Bali take approximately 9.5 hours, significantly reducing travel time compared to flights with stopovers, which can extend the journey to 12 or even 18 hours.
