20-Year-Old Jagpreet Singh Dies Following South Auckland Crash

Police has identified the young man who died in a crash in south Auckland earlier this month as 20-year-old Jagpreet Singh.

"Our thoughts are with his friends and family at this time," the police said in a statement.

"Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash remain ongoing," they added. 

Singh was critically injured after his car collided with a truck on the South-Western Motorway near Mangere on 3 December.

Police, in an earlier statement confirmed that the Emergency services were notified of the two vehicle crash on State Highway 20 at about 4am on that day.

Singh was assessed by ambulance services to have critical injuries at the scene.

He was rushed to hospital, but died about two weeks later.
