Dairy owner shot and injured in an aggravated robbery in South Auckland

Two offenders are still at large after shooting the shopkeeper of a dairy store in South Auckland on Monday, January 18.

The aggravated robbery was reported at Halsey Road in Manurewa on Monday evening, around 6:30 p.m. when two offenders entered the store presenting a firearm at the owner.

The offenders stole cash and cigarettes from the shot.

Before leaving the scene in a car, one of the offenders shot the dairy owner in the leg.   

The man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and is said to be in a stable condition.

The Indian Weekender reached out to the family of the injured who declined to comment at this stage.

Police has appealed the public to get in touch with them if they may have been in the Halsey Road area and seen something that could assist with their investigation.
